About

I’m a vegan college student who likes to eat, drink, and be merry. I read all those old dusty books, and ponder all the little moments that make life worth living. I post my cooking exploits here. I like to run amuck and cause a ruckus, and I’ve never met a pun I didn’t like.

  1. Was looking for etouffee and came across your site. Little weird because I just moved to Fort Worth a month ago and I saw you mention Central Market and Spiral Diner.
Like the blog a lot, btw. Its kickin. Any suggestions for other places to eat besides Spiral around here?

      Jen,

Check out King Tut’s, down the street from Spiral. Best falafel I’ve ever had in my entire life–and I’ve had a lot of falafel.

Also, various sushi restaurants (vegetarian sushi) on Camp Bowie. In Dallas, there is another Spiral plus a vegetarian restaurant called the Cosmic Cafe that has vegan options. There is an Indian food place on Hulen near Central Market–behind the drive-thru Starbucks? It’s delish and mildly priced.

For groceries, there is a place called Sprout’s Farmer’s Market, which is cheaper than Central Market and has the best fresh produce. Unfortunately, it’s in the suburbs, so it’s a bit of a drive. Worth every mile, though. Good luck! Fort Worth is a very fun town, but admittedly lacking a variety of vegan options.
